AUT shuttle buses

AUT shuttle buses run between the City and South Campuses and have ramps for wheelchair users, and free wifi. Find shuttle timetables, stop locations and ride costs on this page.

Using AUT shuttle buses at the Red and Orange settings

During the Red and Orange settings of the COVID-19 Protection Framework traffic light system, it is mandatory to wear a mask on the AUT shuttle. No mask – no travel.

Ride costs and how to pay

The easiest way to pay for your shuttle ride is to use the AUT App. Top up your AUT Wallet balance before you ride, as you can't pay the driver in cash.

If you don't have a smartphone and can't use the app, you can use your Student ID card – check the 'How to top up your AUT Wallet' section below.

Fares for the AUT shuttle service in 2022 are:

  • Students - $4.16 (one way)
  • Staff - $5.40 (one way)

How to top up your AUT Wallet

You can top up your AUT Wallet in the AUT App or on Student Hub Online using a credit card. You can also top up your wallet by EFTPOS at a Kiosk in Tech Central. Credit will show in the AUT App, which you will use to scan a QR code when entering the shuttle bus.
