AUT has shuttle buses which run between the City and South Campuses. Shuttle buses have free wifi, ramps for wheelchair users, and provide schedule updates to passengers.
The shuttle bus to the North Campus was discontinued at the end of 2020. Instead, you can take the NX2 bus (run by Auckland Transport) which runs every 10 minutes during the day. You'll need an AT Hop card. For a refund for your North Campus shuttle paper ticket email email@example.com.
From April 2021, paper tickets will no longer be available for AUT’s shuttle buses. Students and staff can top up their AUT app or their ID Card with funds that can be used to pay for shuttle rides when entering a shuttle bus. Students will be able to transfer remaining paper ticket concessions to the AUT Wallet. We will update students on how to transfer their ticket funds by Tuesday 23 March.
Plan your journey carefully. During alert level 1:
The timetable shows shuttle times during semester and semester breaks.
You need to top up your AUT Wallet in the AUT app or your Student ID card before you travel – you can't pay the driver in cash.
If you’re using your Student ID card, you’ll first need to register your barcode by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
You can top up your AUT Wallet in the AUT App and Student Hub Online by credit card. You can also update the wallet by EFTPOS at a Kiosk at Tech Central. Credit will show in the AUT app, which you will use to scan a QR code when entering the shuttle bus.
Use your Student ID to access the AUT shuttle bus.
You must first register your Student ID barcode against the AUT Wallet. To do this email email@example.com with your student barcode and ID card.
