Graduation ceremony dates and times

Graduation ceremony dates are usually published around six months before the event. We confirm dates and ceremony times closer to the event because they depend on how many students are graduating and want to attend. Wait until these dates are confirmed before you make any travel arrangements.

Completing your programme at the end of Semester 2, 2022?

  • Your qualification will be granted on 22 December 2022
  • Graduation ceremonies will be held on 30 and 31 March 2023 at Spark Arena
    • 30 March:
      Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences
      Faculty of Business, Economics and Law
    • 31 March:
      Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies
      Faculty of Culture and Society
      Faculty of Māori and Indigenous Development - Te Ara Poutama
    • The exact time of your ceremony will be advised early in 2023

Completing your programme at the end of Semester 1, 2023?

  • Ceremonies are planned to be held on 3 and 4 August 2023 at the Aotea Centre
  • If you are likely to be eligible to graduate, we will be in touch closer to the time in 2023
