Information for international students studying offshore (not in New Zealand).
As an international student who is offshore, you can enrol and study part-time. Not all programmes are available to study part-time. You will need to check that your programme allows this.
To find out if you can change from full-time to part-time, or to cancel or withdraw from your studies, contact the Student Hub. They will connect you to the right people to see if this is an option for your programme.
There has been no change to the requirements for a Post Study Work Visa (PSWV). Applicants for a PSWV must have graduated/obtained an eligible qualification (for example, a bachelor’s degree) and must have studied some of that qualification in New Zealand, full-time, while holding the applicable student visa. For a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification, that time is at least 30 weeks full-time study in New Zealand.
