Excellent employability skills make you stand out from the crowd when you're looking for a job after uni. The Beyond AUT Award for postgraduate students at AUT helps you develop these skills. Find out what you need to do to complete the employability section of the Beyond AUT Award.

What you need to do to show your employability skills

Activities you need to complete

  1. Submit a graduate level CV*
  2. Submit a graduate level LinkedIn profile*
  3. Attend a networking event with AUT alumni – run once a semester during Employability Matters
  4. Attend a postgraduate career path workshop – regularly run by AUT's Employability and Careers team

*You'll be redirected to a workshop if this is not at graduate standard

You need to complete all of the activities above.

Events you need to attend

You need to attend 3 other employer events or presentations. These can include:

  • Career fairs
  • Alumni presentations
  • Industry speakers
  • Lunchtime speaker series

These are run regularly by the Employability and Careers team. Your attendance needs to be verified to be credited towards the Beyond AUT Award.
