Student Advisory Group: doctoral student representatives

The Graduate Research School has doctoral student representatives for AUT's Student Advisory Group, who take on the role for two years. They attend regular Student Advisory Group meetings and report back to their peers with updates. The group meetings are also a chance for our reps to raise any issues experienced by doctoral students.

The Student Advisory Group is made up of the following members:

  • Dean of the Graduate Research School
  • Doctoral student representatives
  • Student services representative
  • AUTSA representative
  • Library services representative

Role of doctoral student representatives

The role for doctoral student reps involves:

  • Attending bi-monthly meetings as a member of the Student Advisory Group
  • Raising doctoral student issues with the Dean of the Graduate Research School and/or the Student Advisory Group
  • Reporting back to doctoral students with updates once/twice a semester
