Wellness Toolkit sessions for postgrad students

Come along to our Wellness Toolkit sessions for postgraduate students so you can build your own set of 'tools' to enhance your resilience and wellbeing. Remember that the most important element of your study or research is you!

During these sessions an AUT mental health advisor/counsellor will talk through a specific topic that will be helpful and relevant for your postgraduate research journey.

When and where

  • The third Wednesday of the month every month from March to October
  • 3pm – 4pm
  • Online via Zoom

Upcoming sessions

15 May - Navigating relationships and getting the best out of supervision

This session covers relationships and communication, particularly between you and your postgraduate research supervisor(s). The quality of the supervisor-supervisee relationship has been found to significantly affect the pace of research progress The session’s aim therefore is to help you to have a good supervision relationship to enhance your postgraduate experience and academic success.

19 June – Managing low mood

This session covers low mood – a common issue for tertiary students. Low mood has been associated with poorer cognitive function, learning, and academic performance. The aim is to help you to identify signs and symptoms, as well as ways to help prevent and to overcome low mood.
