Booking PCs and study spaces

We know that you won't always have access to your personal computer or a place to study. Here, you'll find out about how to make a booking and booking rules.

How to make a booking

To access a computer, laptop or printer in Tech Central, students will need to pre-book using the official AUT App. Only individual bookings are available, group bookings are not possible to ensure physical distancing can be maintained. Please make your booking before 9am of the day you would like to access a facility.

If you don’t have a smart phone please call ICT Support on 0800 AUT ICT (0800 288 428).

An AUT staff member will be present on each campus to grant access based on a booking. Students will be asked to present their student ID when they arrive. If a booking hasn’t been made, access will not be granted. Students will also need to scan a QR code using the official AUT app to enable contact tracing.

Students can also remote access to an AUT computer from home to use licensed specialised software, make sure you visit the Accessing AUT computers from home page.

Borrowing laptops

​To borrow a laptop, use one of the self-service Laptop Kiosks located in the Tech Central areas on each campus. ​​​
