Changing or withdrawing from your programme, course or major

To make changes to the courses or majors within an AUT programme, or to change or withdraw from a programme after you have been invoiced for it, follow the step-by-step guide below.

You can do this by logging into My AUT on your laptop or desktop or via the AUT App.

How to make changes

Once you log into My AUT using your AUT username and password, navigate to ‘My Account’ and then to ‘Forms and Requests’.

Select ‘Add or remove course(s)’. You should review the refund policy listed in the information box on the right before proceeding with the form.

You can add up to four courses when you submit the form.

To remove courses, review the list of the courses you're currently enrolled in. You can remove up to four courses when you submit the form.

Select ‘Withdraw from programme’ to change or withdraw from a programme. You should review the refund policy listed in the information box on the right before withdrawing from your programme.

Select the programme(s) you're enrolled in and provide a reason why you want to withdraw.

To change to a programme in a different faculty, you need to withdraw from the current programme and re-apply for the new programme.

To change programmes within your faculty, submit a change major request by selecting the ‘Change Major’ option in the form.

By selecting 'Change Major' you can submit a request to change a major within your faculty.

You simply need to provide your current major and the new major you want to switch to.

When you're finished with your amendments, click ‘submit request’.

After you've submitted your request, you should see the message below, confirming that your amendments have been forwarded to your faculty for processing.

Your AUT faculty will be in touch with you directly to provide updates.
