Find out how to use printers and photocopiers for your AUT assessments and where to find them on AUT's campuses.

Where to find printers and photocopiers at AUT

​Printers and photocopiers are located at various locations on each AUT campus:

  • Tech Central areas
  • The library

How to log in to print and copy

​You'll need to log into these devices by swiping your student ID card or by logging in with your network login and password, using the touchscreen option.

Costs for printing and copying

For A4 and A3 paper size:

  • Black and white: 5 cents per page
  • Colour: 25 cents per page

You need a minimum balance of 25 cents to be able to log into the printers.

Printing from different devices

​You can print documents from an AUT computer or your personal device.

​To print a document from an AUT computer, follow these steps:

  1. Click the 'File' button in the top left corner
  2. Select the 'Print' option [Ctrl-P]
  3. Select the printer: FollowYou_B&WStudent or FollowYou_B&WStapled for black and white printing or FollowYou_ColourStudent for colour printing
  4. Click on the 'Print' button
  5. Log into one of the printers using your network login and password or by swiping your ID card
  6. Select 'My Prints'
  7. To print individual print jobs, select the job from the displayed list and select 'Print'
  8. Or to release all print jobs, select 'Select All' and then select 'Print'
  9. Once everything is printed, select the 'Login/out' button on printer keypad

Web printing is available so you can print using AUT printers from your personal device, including iPads, iPhones and laptops.

​Follow these steps:

  1. ​​Go to Web printing (Fuji printeron website)
  2. Log into the Fuji printeron website using your network login ID and password, the same ones you would use to log into an AUT computer or My AUT
  3. Select the type of printing you want to use, 'aut_followyoubw' will print in black and white and 'aut_followyoucolour' will print in colour
  4. Click on 'Choose File' and select the file you want to print. You can also enter a specific page range to be printed here as well as the number of copies needed
  5. Enter any additional printing requirements like the paper size (the printers contain A3 and A4 paper), whether the printing will be single or double sided, and the page orientation
  6. Click on 'Continue' to send your print job to the printer. You'll then be asked to approve the job, click on “Submit Job to Printer”. Once the green complete box appears the document will be in the printer queue ready to print
  7. Log into one of the printers using your network login and password or your ID card
  8. Select 'My Print'
  9. To print individual print jobs, select the job from the displayed list and select 'Print'
  10. Or to release all print jobs, select 'Select All' and then select 'Print'
  11. Once everything is printed, select the 'Login/out' button on the printer keypad

While you can use printers across all campuses for your everyday printing needs, some projects will need a professional touch. PinkLime is AUT's print room for your projects.
