Tech Central has computers, laptops and software for AUT students to use.
The City and South Campus Tech Central (WA409 and MA2) will be open 24/7 from Monday 30 May to 23 June.
You can use AUT computers in Tech Central – some must be booked online ahead of time, but there are some you can use on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. You’ll find Tech Central in the Library on each campus, as well as at other general access areas.
Tech Central computers are loaded with various faculty images like Business, Science-Engineering and Hospitality. These computers host specialised applications as specifically required by faculties. For example, Science and Engineering computers will have software and applications which hospitality computers may not have.
However, all the computers have the same general image which consists of the basic applications like the Microsoft Office Suite.
AUT licensed versions of Endnote and various other software packages are also available for personal download from the IT Downloads page. You need your AUT network login.
Please act in a courteous manner and respect the rules set out in the AUT Computer Use Policy. These rules include:
The ICT Service Desk staff has the right to ask you to leave if you are causing disruption.
