What digital tools you need

Explore how you can achieve study success with the help of our range of digital and collaboration tools, including Blackboard, Office 365 and the Library website. This page also covers how you can access any specialist software you need for your studies by logging into AUT computers from home.

Blackboard is your one stop shop for all things related to your papers including lectures, lab notes, assessments, class updates, study guides and handbooks and your paper specific timetable.

Your lecturers may also use Blackboard Collaborate to provide a virtual classroom. You can find more information about how to connect and use Blackboard Collaborate below.

Microsoft Teams is a product of the Office 365 suite and is available to all AUT students.

Microsoft Teams is a digital hub that brings your conversations, content, documents, and apps together in one place. You can connect with your classmates and share information – all from a single experience.

Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing service you can use to virtually meet with others - either by video or audio-only or both, all while conducting live chats - and it lets you record those sessions to view later.

Panopto enables AUT staff and students to capture and deliver audio and video content. Users can record content in lecture theatres, as well as from their office or home computer.

You can now access AUT computers from home. This means that you’ll have access to specialised software for online learning. This service will be available from Tuesday 28 April.
