The AUT Student Hub is the one place to go for help. The Student Hub can provide you with access to a range of services and online support to help you succeed at AUT.

AUT’s commitment to digital equity

In response to the Government’s alert levels, AUT wanted to ensure all students have the ability to achieve their educational goals even within the COVID-19 restrictions.

We’ve arranged to lease up to 1,500 laptops and purchase up to 4,000 connectivity packages to assist our students who wouldn’t otherwise been able to study online. These devices are loaned to students free of cost, to encourage students to make use of this offer.

Use the AUT app to book a Student Hub appointment

You can book an online appointment with a Student Hub advisor using the AUT app to discuss disability support, Special Consideration Applications on emotional or mental health grounds, student visa queries or financial assistance.

To book:

  • Open the AUT app and tap the hamburger menu (three lines in the bottom right-hand corner)
  • Choose ‘My AUT’
  • Choose ‘Bookings’
  • Choose ‘STUDENT HUB’, and follow the prompts to complete your booking

Applying for special consideration

If your ability to attempt or prepare for an assessment is affected by circumstances beyond your control, you may be able to apply for special consideration.

The Student Hub, Counselling and Mental Health team and Student Medical Centre can complete the Impairment Report required for some students.
