At AUT we’re dedicated to the success of our Māori students and offer a range of services and activities to support you during your studies here.

We provide services and support for all your educational, cultural, social and personal requirements.

We offer dedicated spaces for Māori students to meet others, relax or study on campus:

Māori Peer Mentors

Our Māori Peer Mentors are senior AUT students who are available to give help to students around study subjects and papers.

Studiosity is a personal online help service that is available after-hours free of charge via Blackboard to provide guidance and feedback with your academic writing and support with foundation level content.

Specialist counselling services

AUT has a team of professionally trained counsellors, including specialist counsellors for Māori students, who work across campuses.

Counselling and Mental Health team

We understand that studying can be tough on your finances. Make an appointment to get help from a Māori Student Advisor by dropping in or emailing māori@aut.ac.nz and find out how we can help with vouchers for food, petrol and other goods, rent arrears payments, utilities and other living expenses.
